The Duomo and the Theatre

Como is perfect for lakeside strolls, or shopping in one of the multitude of Italian leather, silk and clothes boutiques, or larger chain and department stores. There is a clothes market outside the old city walls on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, as well as a covered market. There is plenty of choice for restaurants, bars and gelaterias, and with the option of a boat, bus or a 20 minute car journey back to Nesso, it is a perfect trip out. The rooftop restaurant in the centre situated alongside the Duomo (top floor of Coin department store) is the perfect place to admire the city.
