Boat
A variety of passenger ferries zigzag along the lake every day, going both to Bellagio and Como from Nesso, as well as across the lake. There are also car ferries from Bellagio to Cardenabbia, Menaggio and Varenna if you don't fancy the drive around the lake. Timetables are available here.
Bus
Bus tickets can be bought on the bus, at the ticket office on the waterfront in Como, from the shop over the road from the house, or at the tabac shop in the station. The C30 bus runs approximately every half hour between Como and Bellagio, stopping by the waterfall and outside the Tre Rose restaurant at the top of via Borgovecchio, two minutes walk from La Vista.
Como (main station)/Nesso - 40 minutes
Nesso/Bellagio - 30 minutes
Train
Tickets for the train can be easily purchased through the trenitalia website. These electronic tickets do not need franking, and can be shown to the conductor on your phone/tablet. If Como or Milan are mentioned below, it is for the Como San Giovani or Milan Centrale stations (unless otherwise specified).
Como/Milan Centrale - 45 minutes
Airport/Nesso (without a car)
Malpensa/Milan (train) - 1 hour - Milan/Como (train) - 45 minutes - Como/Nesso (bus) - 40 minutes
Bergamo/Milan (bus/train) - 1 hour 30 minutes - Milan/Como (train) - 45 minutes - Como/Nesso (bus) - 40 minutes
Linate/Milano Forlanini station (bus) - 25 minutes - Forlanini/Monza (train) - 20 minutes - Monza/Como (train) - 25-40 minutes - Como/Nesso (bus) - 40 minutes
