Lake Como has several lidos which offer a manicured lakeside experience, with cafes, sun loungers, toilets and showers. Some have pools, slides and diving boards - even sand. Charges apply. Bellagio's lido becomes a popular nightclub at weekends during the summer.
Lake Como is famous for its villas and gardens, like Villa Barbianello near Lenno, used in Casino Royale. Many are open to the public, and National Trust members enjoy up to 30% discount at any properties run by the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) if they show their NT membership card.

Lake Como is a great destination for water sports. Kayaking, motor boating, water-skiing, wake boarding and sailing can all be arranged two miles away in Lezzeno.
Como is home to the world's oldest seaplane club - the only one in Europe - and these planes can often be seen landing on the water in front of La Vista before taking off to glide above the mountain tops. Sightseeing flights are available and qualified pilots can book a lesson.
